A Perfect Plan for a Picnic

Peter planned a perfect picnic for his people last April. He wanted to make everyone happy, so he prepared a simple but special party in the park.

First, Peter opened his pocket notebook and wrote down a shopping list. He put paper plates, purple napkins, and red apples into a large plastic bag. He also packed sweet potato chips and a piece of pumpkin pie. His partner, Philip, helped him push the heavy cart to the pickup spot.

When they arrived at the park, the place was peaceful. People were playing with a puppy on the green grass. Peter spread a plastic sheet under a pear tree. It was an important spot because it had a great view of the pond.

They opened the food packages and started to enjoy the lunch. Suddenly, a little puppy jumped up and tried to snap a piece of the pie from Peter’s plate! Philip stopped the puppy quickly and whispered, “Please be polite.” Everyone laughed out loud.

The picnic was a popular success. Peter took a picture of the group to remember the happy experience. It was a perfectly pleasant spring day for everybody.
